  • Resumo: Great optics for an older zoom. I shoot with a high megapixel body, and weaker zooms have detrimental IQ. Wide open corners at some focal lengths, this lens is not perfect however good, and very good 2/3's of the center frame. Stop it down a stop or so for sharpness across the frame.

Lens: good Adorama: bad

  • Resumo: Excellent lens when paired with my A99. Fast focusing and tracking, and it's built very well. Not very happy with Adorama, though. The lens was dirty and grimy when I got it and they didn't disclose how much wear and tear it had when they listed it. Also, they're slow to ship.

  • Resumo: I have used this lens for a year now, fairly constantly. It takes a while to get used to it. It does not especially like low light and it is not weather proof. It would make a very good south-west lens, but in the east you have to be aware of these issues.
